We were told to make arrangements in the house, to make it suitable for your frailty, but two days later the hospital phoned and without preamble said you had died in the night. Its awful without you and Christmas is making it even more so. I know you would want me to remember you but also to try and make the day a good one for our family, small as it is. I have your last years lovely card which says 'love you now and always' that hurts so much.
